Our Fall 2026 In-Person Community Meeting in District K was a roaring success!
Residents, City leaders, community partners and HCD team members came together for an impactful evening of meaningful dialogue, resource sharing and community engagement.

The 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and the 2025 Annual Action Plan serve as the City’s application for more than $250 million in expected federal grants to improve Houston neighborhoods and assist low- and moderate-income families in Houston.

Each year, HCD receives about $50M in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to improve housing and quality of life for Houstonians. These federal grants include: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). To receive these grants, the City must have.
