Container Pickup Program

The City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department offers a Container Pickup Program that allows residents to receive new or replacement garbage containers more quickly and conveniently.

Instead of waiting for delivery, residents may pick up their container at designated service locations. This program helps reduce wait times and provides a reliable option for container service.

Hours and Locations

Monday, – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturdays only), 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

    5614 Neches St.
    (Saturday service is offered at this location only.)

What to Bring

  1. A copy of your water bill (for address verification)
  2. Your 311 Service Request (SR) number
  3. If replacing a can, please bring the damaged can to receive your replacement

Eligibility

  1. Available for new or replacement containers only
  2. Add-A-Can Service request

Residents who prefer delivery or are unable to visit a pickup location may request container delivery through 311.
