Container Pickup Program — Appointment Required
The City of Houston Solid Waste Management Container Pickup Program helps residents receive new garbage or recycling containers quickly and conveniently. To serve you better, pickups are scheduled by appointment.
How to Schedule
Call 832 394 1453 to request a Container Pickup Program appointment. Agents available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Note: All visits require a scheduled appointment. Walk ins cannot be accommodated.
What to Bring
- A copy of your water bill (for address verification)
- Your 311 Service Request (SR) number
Eligibility
Available for new containers only
Residents who prefer delivery or are unable to visit a pickup location may request container delivery through 311.
