About Council Member Amy Peck

Council Member Amy Peck Amy Peck was first elected to Houston City Council in 2019 and is currently serving her second term as the District A Council Member, representing more than 220,000 residents. She also serves as Vice Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Houston.

A lifelong Houstonian, Peck has dedicated her career to public service. Before joining City Council, she spent many years serving the residents of District A in various roles at both the state and local levels of government. Her extensive experience navigating complex governmental systems has equipped her with the knowledge and relationships necessary to deliver results, solve problems, and advocate effectively for her constituents.

Peck earned a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. During her graduate studies, she completed her internship at Houston’s Veterans Affairs Hospital, where she counseled returning service members and Vietnam veterans coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

She also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Government from the University of Texas at Austin. Combining her educational background with decades of public service experience, Peck remains committed to improving the quality of life for Houston residents and strengthening the communities she serves.

Council Member Peck and her husband, Jordan, are the proud parents of two daughters, Abigail and Annabelle. Their family also includes their beloved dog, Lexi.
