City Budget Information and Surveys
Fiscal Year 2027
The proposed City of Houston Fiscal Year 2027 budget was released on May 5, 2026, with a vote on the budget set for June 10, 2026. For the past six years, I've asked residents to share their priorities through a budget survey. This year, with continued support from Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research, the YOUR TWO CENTS survey was further refined to better capture your input. The survey closed on Tuesday, May 26, with over 900 responses!
The Kinder Institute presented their findings to the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Committee on June 2, 2026. The presentation is available here on the BFA website.
