September 8, 2026 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in the 12900 block of Westheimer Road about 11:50 p.m. on September 5.

The deceased female is identified as Monae Pinkney, 20.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and R. McLemore reported:

A blue BMW X3 was traveling westbound at the above address when a female pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway. The BMW struck the pedestrian. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to an area hospital where doctors later pronounced her deceased.

The driver of the BMW remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
