July 22, 2026 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found in the 4500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard about 7:05 a.m. today (July 22).

The identity and cause of death of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective K. Persad reported: 

Officers responded to a report of a male in Brays Bayou at the above address after a person walking near the bayou spotted the male.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.  

The investigation is pending the male's cause of death, to be determined by autopsy.
