August 31, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 3126 Beran Drive about 9:55 a.m. on August 29.

The identity of the victim, 65, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detectives K. Stinger and E. Torres reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a residence at the above address after a deceased female was found. Officers learned she had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

At this time there is no known motive or suspect(s).
