August 31, 2026 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2500 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) service road about 1:15 a.m. on August 30.

The victim is identified as David White, 29.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson reported:

The driver of a white Porsche Cayenne was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed near the above address. The driver failed to maintain a single lane, left the roadway and struck a pole.

Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in this crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
