April 06, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 12330 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 5 a.m. on April 4.

The identity of the deceased victim, 33, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a business at the above address. They located an unresponsive male in the parking lot and a second injured male inside the building. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male in the parking lot deceased and transported the injured male to an area hospital. He is expected to survive his injury.

According to witnesses, the suspect(s) appear to be Hispanic male(s) in the late teens or early 20s.
