Buyout Properties
The Harvey Buyout Program has purchased 4 properties so far and in some cases, has combined funding from this disaster with funding from the Multifamily Voluntary Buyout Program conducted following the 2016 Flooding Events. In the map below, you can learn a bit about each of our purchases and what will be done with these properties.
Please note that if a purchase results in residents being displaced, HCDD will follow the guidance of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act (URA).
Please note that this map combines both DR-16 and DR-17 (Harvey Buyout Program) properties.

Monticello Square Apartments Demolition
Demolition can be thrilling to witness, but public safety remains a top priority!
The City of Houston ensures that on-site workers and the surrounding community are protected throughout the process of demolishing the former Monticello Square Apartments.
A huge thank you to Houston Police for assisting those seeking shelter in abandoned properties, and guiding them to safer, healthier options. Together, we're keeping our city safe, resilient, and vibrant for all Houstonians.
