William McQueen is a communications and community engagement professional with nearly a decade of experience in workforce development, digital media, and accessibility-centered communications. In his role with the City of Houston’s Office for People with Disabilities, he develops inclusive communication strategies that ensure residents of all abilities can access vital programs, services, and information.
William’s background in workforce development includes leading job readiness initiatives across the Houston-Galveston region, serving youth, adults, and justice-involved populations. He has designed and delivered workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, financial literacy, and career exploration, helping individuals overcome barriers to employment through practical training and community partnerships.
He also brings extensive experience in digital media production, having produced podcasts, social media campaigns, and event-based storytelling that translate complex topics into engaging, easy-to-understand content. His work emphasizes clarity, impact, and community connection.
A strong advocate for accessibility, William applies best practices aligned with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, including accessible video production, alt text development, and inclusive design.
